Lateral longitudinal arch of the foot is an elastic, dome shaped structure on the lateral aspect of your foot.
Other arches of the foot are medial longitudinal, anterior transverse and posterior transverse arches

7 must know anatomical points of lateral longitudinal arch of foot
- Bones forming the arch are calcaneus, cuboid, 4th and 5th metatarsals
- Ends:
- Anterior: heads of fourth and fifth metatarsals
- Posterior: lateral tubercle of calcaneum
- Summit: articular facet on the superior surface of the calcaneum at the level of the subtalar joint
- Pillars
- Anterior: cuboid, fourth and fifth metatarsals
- Posterior: lateral half of calcaneum
- Main joint: Calcaneocuboid joint
- Keystone: plantar aponeurosis
- Support: Plantar aponeurosis, peroneus longus and brevis, abductor digiti minimi / flexor digitorum brevis
